I was especially pleased to be asked to be a patron for Friends for Leisure. I know just how important it is that children and young people have the chance to form friendships and enjoy leisure activities. All children and young people with disabilities should have these opportunities too, but many don't and that is where Friends for Leisure can help.
It's not just disabled people that can benefit Friends for leisure also offers the opportunity to make friends and develop skills through volunteering.
I am delighted to be patron of Friends for Leisure and look forward to offering my support in the future.
